Snowplow Sam (Ages 3-6)

Our Snowplow Sam program is designed for our youngest skaters, introducing children with little to no prior skating experience to the ice in a fun and supportive environment. The program is divided into four progressive levels, allowing children to build confidence while learning basic skating skills.

Classes focus on developing the ABCs of movement—Agility, Balance, Coordination, and Speed—which are essential for fundamental movement skills and overall physical literacy. Each session incorporates fun games and activities to ensure that class time is enjoyable, safe, and positive for all participants.

Proper attire is required, including long pants, socks, and gloves. Helmets are required for Snowplow 1 and are strongly recommended for all participants. (Skate rentals are available if needed.)

Basic Skills (Ages 7-14)

The Basic Skills program teaches the FUNdamentals of ice skating and provides the best foundation for hockey, figure skating, or speed skating. This program includes six progressive levels designed to teach forward and backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, and turns.

  • Basic 1 & 2: Introductory levels for new skaters to build confidence and learn the fundamentals.
  • Basic 3–6: Focus on developing all core skating skills and the ABCs of athleticism—Agility, Balance, Coordination, and Speed. Upon completion, skaters are prepared to advance to more specialized areas of skating.

All classes are structured to promote proper skill development in a positive, social, and FUN environment. Skaters progress at their own pace, advancing only after demonstrating skill mastery.

Proper attire is required, including long pants, socks, and gloves. Helmets are recommended but not required. (Skate rentals are available if needed.)

Adults

Our Adult skating program is designed for both beginners and experienced skaters who wish to improve their skills while staying active. Participants will enhance their balance, coordination, and overall physical fitness while learning proper skating techniques.

The program is divided into 3 levels, ranging from basic skills to more advanced techniques. Skaters progress at their own pace, receiving guidance and challenges tailored to their skill level. Adults may start at the level that best matches their prior skating experience.

This is an exciting and social program for adults who enjoy skating as a fun and healthy way to stay fit.

Proper attire is required, including long pants, socks, and gloves. Helmets are recommended but not required. (Skate rentals are available if needed.)
