From Florida Hockey to the NCAA

Josh grew up playing hockey in Orlando, Florida, before leaving home at just 15 years old to continue his development with the Pikes Peak Miners in Colorado, where he competed at the AAA level.

His hockey journey then took him into junior hockey, playing with the Idaho Jr. Steelheads in the WSHL and the Wichita Falls Wildcats in the NAHL.

Josh continued his playing career at the University of Massachusetts Boston. During his sophomore year, the team made school history by becoming the first UMass Boston hockey team to advance to the Frozen Four of the NCAA Division III national tournament.

His playing career came to an unexpected end during his junior year after undergoing his second hip surgery, but his connection to the game continued through coaching and player development.

As a player who grew up in Florida himself, Josh takes particular pride in helping the next generation of Florida hockey players develop their skills, confidence, and passion for the game.
