Shane Falcon
Hockey instruction for players of different ages and experience levels, with a strong focus on helping both adult and youth skaters improve their skills, confidence, and overall game.
Hockey Development for Every Stage of the Game
Shane works with hockey players across a range of ages and experience levels, helping athletes develop stronger fundamentals and become more confident on the ice.
A significant part of Shane’s coaching includes working with adult hockey players, while he also regularly works with youth players developing their skills and overall game.
This experience allows training to be adapted to the individual player rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. A newer adult player may have very different goals from an experienced league player or a developing youth athlete.
Coaching Focus
Adult Hockey Development
Skill-focused coaching for adult players looking to improve their comfort, ability, and confidence on the ice.
Youth Player Development
Helping younger players strengthen fundamentals and continue building their overall hockey skills.
Hockey Skating
Develop balance, movement, edge control, stops, starts, transitions, and confidence skating in game situations.
Individual Progression
Training designed around the player’s current ability, experience, and individual goals.
Build Confidence in Your Game
Hockey development does not stop with youth hockey. Shane works extensively with adult players who want additional time to improve their individual skills and feel more confident during games.
Adult players can come to the sport with very different backgrounds. Some may be learning hockey for the first time, while others may already compete regularly and want to sharpen specific areas of their game.
Focused coaching provides an opportunity to work on those individual needs outside of the faster pace of a team practice or league game.
Areas of Player Development
Coaching can be tailored around the skills a player wants to strengthen and the areas that will have the greatest impact on their game.
Hockey Skating
Improve balance, edge control, stops, starts, transitions, and efficient movement around the ice.
Puck Control
Develop stronger stickhandling and greater confidence controlling the puck while moving.
Shooting
Work on shooting mechanics, accuracy, release, power, and consistency.
Passing
Improve passing, receiving, timing, puck movement, and control.
Game Movement
Develop the ability to combine skating and puck skills more effectively in hockey-specific situations.
Individual Goals
Focus training around the player’s specific development needs and goals.
Different Players. Different Goals.
One of the advantages of individualized coaching is that the training can change based on who is on the ice.
Shane works with both adult and youth hockey players, allowing each session to focus on what is most relevant to that athlete’s current stage of development.
For adults, that may mean building confidence, strengthening fundamentals, or improving skills for league play. For younger players, the focus may be building strong technical habits that support continued development as they progress through hockey.
