We’re happy to do our part and more to help. Our community came together for this important donation. Special thanks to @flkingshockey, Michelle Adler for bringing awareness to this cause and Elad Ekoubi for his generosity. Besides tons of used gear we were able to done 161 pairs of brand new skates-and all should arrive in time for the reopening of their hockey center. Here’s the background/story. During the “Iron Swords” War, we had Power outages caused by the ongoing conflict’ and due to the impact of the 2 missiles on Canada Center, the fire extinguishing system has being activated which led to severe water damage, and everything—skates, pads, sticks, helmets—was destroyed by mold. Metula and Canada Center were a closed military area, and we were unable to reach the area, enter the rooms, and dry and ventilate the place for more the one year (15 months). Hockey is a rare and cherished sport in this region, but it’s not widely available, and new equipment is both difficult to find and too expensive for most families. The team operates by loaning out gear to young players, many of whom would not have the opportunity to play otherwise. Now, with all their equipment lost, these kids are left without a way to get back on the ice. #donateforacause #canadacenterisrael
